great time enjoyed the food there, very friendly people, thanks for making our stay relaxing. could have sat in the lounge all day watching the world go by, good position on the front.

This hotel is in the perfect position to go pleasure beach and the town as its not to far from either and its right on the sea front. The people who run the hotel are absolutely brilliant, very friendly, really helpful and i couldn't of asked for a better service from them. i enjoyed every minute of my stay there. i will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to blackpool. Friendly personal service

Nothing was too much trouble. The owners were friendly and easy to approach. We enjoyed every second. It was very easy to find.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful but the bedroom was very small and the bed was the worst I have ever slept in. It was supposed to be a double bed but looked more like a single and it was so soft and squashy that I wanted to get out and sleep on the floor, only there wasn't enough room to lie on the floor. My boyfriend complained about his bad back all day. Apart from this, the location was good, but it wasn't good value for money.

The owners were brilliant and couldn't have done more for us. The bar/lounge area was very friendly and relaxing after a day at the Pleasure Beach which was within easy walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would certainly visit again.

Owners were very welcoming and friendly. They were helpful and informative about the area and places to go out. Did not take a family but the hotel were child friendly. Would return with my children in future. Rooms were small and basic but were clean. Good location on main promenade. There were complications with the booking because we visited with a large group. Amendments had been made by laterooms that were not very clear but the hotel staff were very patient and understanding about it.

We asked for a room with a sea view which we got but the room was so small with a 3/4 sized bed that mainly filled the room, the TV was situated just above the headboard so could not watch it from the bed. We decided to give the room a go for 1 night, by the morning we decided we needed to move so asked for a bigger room and did not mind if it did not have a seaview. The landlady duely arranged this and put us in a slightly bigger room but stunk of cigarettes. Then at breakfast our cooked breakfast was served, my partners plate had a hair on it, the chef did take the plate away and recook another one for her. Then the next day we could not believe it there was yet another hair on her bacon this time! So the next day we gave breakfast a miss and went to a well known burger chain instead. On the plus side the lounge area was relaxing with a pool table, several TVs and a cheap bar. It is well located in the centre of the promenade.

the only complaint i have that with there being no lifts there should be help in getting your luggage to the higher floors especialythe old and infirm other wise great thank you

The room was clean and tidy as was the rest of the hotel, the food was good. The staff at the hotel were very freindly, helpful and professional. The Landlady was more than helpful, good company and made you feel at home. Will be staying here the next time Im in Blackpool.

For a bed for the night it was adequate, no more than that. On arrival the noted “car parking“ turned out to be nine spaces all of which were already in use, although I'm quite pleased I didn't get one in the end as stacked three deep up to the front of the house I'm really not sure how it works with respect to getting in and out. There is however street parking on the promenade over the road which is free after 8pm until 10am the next morning, with meters (£1/hr) for the daytime. It seems pretty safe, although expect to find your car covered in sand by the morning. Inside, the place had probably changed very little since the 1970s. Carpets and wallpaper as generally only seen in dodgy pubs, posters advertising variety acts. The room was slightly less patterned, but tiny - barely big enough for the undersized double bed it contained; the en-suite even tinier. As a fairly average sized (UK size 12) female I was just about able to squeeze into the shower cubicle; anyone larger may have had some difficulty. Some rooms do have a sea view but again, this is first come first served, despite all rooms costing the same. £50 did seem a touch on the steep side for the quality of establishment, although this is probably to be expected in a holiday resort. Would certainly not have wanted to stay for a week there - for a place to crash after a night out it does its job. Plus points: The staff are lovely. Pleasant and helpful and friendly and do a fine traditional breakfast, although 8.30 to 9.30 is just a little on the early side for a weekend. Very close to Blackpool South station, the Pleasure Beach and the South Pier. Not too noisy - clientele the night we stayed seemed to be largely couples, 25 to 60, with and without kids. In general there's probably little to choose between this and any number of seafront B&Bs (all seemed to have the same car parking arrangement) but I suspect with a bit of effort I could have found a cheaper place.

during our stay we had breakfast and it was delicious! the hotel was very easy to find as it is on the front! i would recomend staying here to anyone ging to blackpool as the owners are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were good size for us and we had 4 adults in the family room! the bar was comfortable and the prices were very cheap! we will be staying here next time we go to blackpool!

Situated between central and south piers, this is in a slightly quieter position on the prom. The pleasure beach is about a 15 minute walk. The rooms are compact, but big enough. And the en-suite facility (especially the shower) is very good.

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay. The beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel is in need of upgrade. The food and the staff were first class. The parking was a bit of a problem as we had two cars.

This break was superb my boyfriend, daughter, younger sister and I. All stayed here was a really lovely break. Only stayed 2 nights but the hotels hosts we're great. The location was perfect, right on the sea front central to everything. Would definitely return again. Highly Recommended. Great!!

As I work all over the country I stop in many B&Bs/Hotels ect and this one was one of the better ones with possibly the best breakfast of allof them.

I would just like to say that i truely enjoyed my stay at the sandford hotel, the hotel staff and management were very friendly . The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and i will most definately be visiting this hotel again .

The Hotel was lovely, 10 minutes walk to Pleaseure Beach and 10 mins walk away from the Tower. The owners were lovely, hospitality great, the bar was great! Food was great! Definatley will go back and reccomend to others. Superb place to be to have a get away. Have a great stay if you go. I'd recomend it to anyone! Jo

Very friendly and attentive staff, lounge and bar was very cosy, with great pool table. Great location, right on the sea front. The Barman does cracking sarnies, highly recommended before a night on the town!

This was our 2nd stay now so everything is excellent again.The only grumble i have is that the breakfast could be bigger although its very tasty anyway, we will be returning in the very near future..Many thanks to rob and steph...

My daughter & I stayed here for weekend. It was her 21st birthday. They were so friendly & nice to her which made the weekend more special. Shes somtimes a little shy of strangers, but they put her right at ease we never stopped laughing the whole time. I would definitly stay there again. thanks to all the staff, their great.

We have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Made extra special by the hospitality and friednliness of all the staff at the hotel. The rooms were on the small side although this is standard at Blackpool hotels. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel and I am sure we will be back

a fantastic place to stay definatley use again and recomend to our friends and family.

We were made very welcome at the Sandford from the minute we arrived. The room was very basic but still value for money. Maybe an upgrade to the heating system in the bedroom would be a good idea but the strong winds of early March would test the best. We would have no hesitation in staying here again.

As stated elsewhere the rooms are small, but when you are on a break or even business, all you need is a bed and wardrobe, that aside the room was clean, although not quite ready when I arrived (although it looked ready to me) I was still able to put my luggage in it. The hotel is completley NON SMOKING, their pages here need to be updated, a plus is there is FREE wi-fi internet access. Would have no hesitation in stopping here again. 5 Star service

Great,friendly hotel. Clean and nice decor. Our room a bit small and cosy but comfortable. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are good. It's situated on the promenade so nice view of sea and you can watch the sunset (Yes, Blackpool does a very nice sunset! ). We'll be back to the Sanford.

The hotel was very nice and so were the staff. It was near everything we wanted - a short walk to the pleasure beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Blackpool.

The hotel and staff were excellent. I had 39 people to look after and everyone was very satisfied. The rooms were not spacious but this is not a fault. It was suitable for my booking. The breakfast was excellent and would suit anyone. The owners and staff catered for everything and could not be more helpful.

my friends and i visited hotel for the uefa cup final,we found the hotel to be everything we wanted clean,comfortable,the food was good and the staff did all they could to make your stay a good stay as they where very helpful and very friendly,at some point this year,maybe when lights go on,i will be taking my family back to stay,i would recommend this hotel great valur for money and would recommend it to my family and friends.

i would recommend this hotel to family and friends,my friends and i stayed for the uefa cup final and we al agreed that we would visit again,i am going back with my family this year,maybe for the lights,the hotel itself was very clean and the rooms a good size,the food was excellent and for a good price you got cracking big portoins,but what i would say that was best of all where the staff,the staff made you feel very welcome and wher very friendly and did all they could to make your stay as comfortable as possible,as i have said before i would recommend it to anyone and will be going back.

this is a seafront hotel that has just been given a complete overhall it is spotless, the small crew do everything in their power to make you welcome the owner tells me he is just beginning and intends to make it even better .Bar snacks/drinks are very good and not too dear and service is prompt. enjoyed our stay

Wonderful stay, even though we must have had the smallest room(room18)! Room was tidy,clean and had a sea-view. Staff really friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast ok, breakfast room clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone.

Very firendly staff, but tiny rooms and the double bed was hardly a double, more like a broader single. Apart frpm space, the room was fresh, neat and clean.

The hotel is halfway between the tower and fairground so it's well placed.Very friendly staff. The room was a bit small but it's all about getting out and enjoying yourself so it's not that important. Good value for money.

I found the hotel clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and would go out of their way to help you. Food lovely and good value for money. A couple of families where there at the same time as us and the staff went out of their way to make the children as comfy as possible. The only down side is that you are not in the centre of town but only 15min walk away though would book again hopefully soon.

The Food at the Hotel is amazing. Alright the parking is a bit tight but its free. Rooms maybe a tad small but I am 6ft3 and 19stone, I fitted fine in the rooms. The bar is very friendly area, great to chill out in the evening. Everything is very close to the hotel. and is well situated on the front overlooking the beach. Breakfasts are full english and very filling. We will return to Sandford Hotel.

Had a great stay in Blackpool at the Sandford Promenade - fantastic weather and the illuminations were brilliant. Accommodation met our needs - hosts were more than helpful and run a tight ship. Room and en suite was very clean. Only issue was the size of the room which was on the small size and the bed which was small for two adults, but other than that, would recommend and would stay there again.

Have not scored the food as we only had cereal and toast in the mornings! I stayed with my two children age 5years and 17 months, along with their cousin who was 20 years of age.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Sandford Hotel and had a lovely time. Rob & Steff & Barry were great hosts ! Made us very welcome. Our room was on the second floor lovely decor and very clean. towels were changed daily the only negative point was the room was a bit small but was fine for the time we were there. Breakfast was Fab!! when we arrived on the Friday night we had some sandwiches in the bar and they were lovely and well worth the money. Would definately go back again and would have no hesitation in recommending to friends

We had a wonderful time at the Sandford and found the staff extremely friendly and always willing to help. The food was to a very high standard and the rooms were too. I would highly recommend this accomodation we will certainly be visiting the sandford again soon.

This hotel in in a perfect location to walk to most of the attractions,and as long as you dont mind handing your car keys over,because all the cars are parked close together on front forecourt,as is quite common in Blackpool,it was very good ,for the money we paid

Took two 11 year old boys, the pool table was great we could relax have a drink or watch tv while the boys played pool, and they could stay in the bar until the bar was shut. Not be out of the bar at 9.00 pm like in some other Hotels. A nice relaxing evening after a long day on the beach or Pleasure Park. I would stay again for the price i couldn`t fault it.
